NY400 Week / Holland on the Hudson presents Pioneers of Change, a festival of Dutch design, fashion and architecture on New York's Governors Island to celebrate 400 years of Dutch-American friendship.

Activities will take place in and around eleven officers' houses at Nolan Park, Governors Island, New York.

About Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum in New York
Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum, Smithsonian Institution is the only museum in the nation devoted exclusively to historic and contemporary design. About Franck Bragigand
Franck Bragigand was born in France and lives and works in Amsterdam. Painting over existing architecture, mass-produced products or discarded objects found in the streets, is part of Bragigand's project ‘Restoring daily life’. By re-painting architecture or objects, he gives them a new function and life as works of art.
