Ok, so this post is a few days late: Open Talks took place last Thursday, Sept 10th against the backdrop of freshly painted Rhode Island / Roode Eylandt house by Franck Bragigand. Marije Vogelzang, Christien Meindertsma, Laurene Boym, Mathilda McQuaid and Amale Andraos led a discussion on new notions of luxury. Something other than high quality marble or a limited edition chair, transparency, care and fresh air all came up. For a review, visit Reports from the Field.
The talks were presented in collaboration with Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum in New York.
Opening words by Frank Heemskerk, Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Renny Ramakers, curator of Pioneers of Change.
